GOOD NEWS: GM Brad Holmes Strikes contract Deal alongside with Aidan Hutchinson, Kerby Joseph

Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes provided information on contract extension plans for players such as Aidan Hutchison and Kerby Joseph.

As the Detroit Lions enter the offseason, one of the top priorities for the front office will be to sign or extend existing players. Detroit has prioritized rewarding its own players, and with six All-Pros on the roster, there must be a fine balance between keeping core players and allowing enough cap money to manage a full roster of quality.

This year, general manager Brad Holmes has various challenges about keeping free agents and extending contract extensions to other players. Here’s what Holmes had to say about individual players.

Kevin Zeitler, a 34-year-old right guard, was one of the Lions’ biggest free agent signings last year. He helped Detroit manage the loss of Jonah Jackson in free agency, and Detroit’s offensive line remained stout with him in the lineup. “I thought Zeitler did a good job this year,” Holmes said.
