F1 Film’s Final Trailer Released, Building Anticipation for June Premiere

The final trailer for the much-anticipated F1 film, set for release this June, has been unveiled, sparking a surge of excitement among motorsport fans. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, renowned for Top Gun Maverick, and starring Brad Pitt, the film showcases an enthralling plot centered around the world of Formula 1 racing. The trailer, lasting 2 minutes and 24 seconds, offers a deeper look into the film’s storyline, which pits two characters—Pitt’s Sonny Hayes and Damson Idris’s Joshua Pearce—against each other, navigating intense competition and personal challenges within the fast-paced world of F1.

Set against the backdrop of a struggling APX GP team, the film highlights the friction between Hayes, a seasoned veteran returning to the sport after a long hiatus, and Pearce, an ambitious rookie eager to prove himself. As the narrative unfolds, Hayes is brought in to help the team avoid collapse, while his rivalry with Pearce intensifies. The trailer also gives fans a taste of the high-energy filming done on location at iconic F1 venues such as Silverstone, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi, and Monza, where both real-life and fictional events collide.

One of the most exciting elements of the trailer is its emphasis on the involvement of real F1 figures, with Max Verstappen making a cameo on the Silverstone grid, adding authenticity to the production. Additionally, Kerry Condon, known for her role in The Banshees of Inisherin, takes on the role of the team’s race director, Kate, which promises to bring an interesting dynamic to the film. The stunning cinematography, combined with the riveting action sequences, ensures that the film will be a must-see for both F1 enthusiasts and general audiences alike.

The film’s narrative focuses on the comeback story of Sonny Hayes, who was once a rising star in the F1 circuit before a career-halting accident. Thirty years later, Hayes is drawn back into the sport by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (played by Javier Bardem), the owner of the struggling APX GP team. As Hayes attempts to help the team, he faces not only the harsh realities of his past but also the fierce competition from his young teammate, Pearce, whose ambitions challenge Hayes in ways he never expected.

The film, which features a stellar production team including Top Gun producer Jerry Bruckheimer and F1’s own seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton as an advisor, is set to hit theaters on June 25 internationally, followed by its North American release on June 27. Fans can expect a thrilling cinematic experience that blends the raw intensity of F1 racing with a compelling human story of redemption and rivalry, promising to be one of the most exciting films of the summer.
