‘Comeback?’… Ronda Rousey excites UFC and WWE fans with latest social media post

UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey might not be done with MMA after an intriguing social media post.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has a complicated relationship with MMA and its fanbase after back-to-back losses brought her superstardom to a screeching halt.

However, years after her most recent fight against Amanda Nunes, Rousey returned to the gym and sparked the imaginations of fans worldwide.

Rousey entered the UFC HOF in 2018 after a long, decorated career in the Octagon. The women’s MMA pioneer went on one of the most dominant title reigns in UFC history before losses to Holly Holm and Nunes.

Despite briefly teasing a comeback fight against Gina Carano, Rousey remained content in retirement in recent years. She’s now a full-time Mom and is relieved of the vast pressure and responsibility she held during her fighting prime.

Fans react to Ronda Rousey’s return to training MMA

Hopes of Rousey ending her MMA retirement were squashed as Rousey revealed brain trauma and other health issues that prohibited her from returning to the cage. She suffered numerous concussions during her combat sports career, dating back to her time competing as an Olympic Bronze Medalist in Judo.

But despite shutting down a potential fighting comeback just months ago, Rousey might be creeping open the door to a fighting return, as she shared online this week.

In a recent Instagram post, Rousey sparked speculation of a potential comeback.

“Back at it,” Rousey commented with photos of her training in an MMA gym.

Rousey hasn’t fought since the loss to Nunes at UFC 207. After walking away from MMA, she enjoyed a multi-year professional wrestling career in WWE, battling against the likes of Becky Lynch and other top wrestlers
