Lions Hits new pick Adding ‘Highly Productive’ Edge Rusher After 16.5-Sack Season

The Detroit Lions’ lack of depth in pass rush is one of the most pressing issues they need to solve following their poor playoff loss from the previous season.

After top edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson suffered a season-ending fractured leg in October, the Lions struggled since no other player could match Hutchinson’s 7.5 sack total. Despite searching in free agency and the NFL draft for a reliable pass rusher to line up opposite Hutchinson, the Lions have not yet discovered a quality player.

One insider believes the Lions will select one of the most promising players in this year’s crop with their first overall pick, however that might change in a few weeks.
