Actor Kim Soo Hyun’s legal team has strongly denied allegations presented by the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute. The accusations include fabricated evidence allegedly involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron. In an official statement issued by LKB & Partners, the law firm representing Kim Soo Hyun and his agency Gold Medalist, the claims were labeled as both false and harmful, and the firm signaled its intention to pursue legal action in response.
During a recent press conference, Garosero Research Institute claimed to possess an audio recording implicating Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron. The legal team refuted this, asserting that the recording was likely generated using artificial intelligence or similar tools. According to the agency, the audio was a manipulated creation and not based on any real interaction or event involving the late actress.
The statement further explained that the person who supplied the audio—referred to as the “file provider”—had contacted Gold Medalist, demanding money in exchange for the allegedly favorable recording. The agency refused the demand after discovering the audio was altered. The file provider, lacking any actual ties to Kim Sae Ron, then reportedly collaborated with Garosero Research Institute to distribute the fabricated material.
Gold Medalist also addressed a second claim made during the press conference, which accused the agency and its attorney, Go Sang Rok, of orchestrating a physical assault on the file provider. The images used to support this claim were debunked by the legal team, who stated that the photos were easily traceable to internet sources and had been falsely presented as evidence.
The agency criticized the press conference as part of a broader campaign of harassment and misinformation. They accused Garosero Research Institute of conducting a “cyber attack,” pointing out that the channel is already facing legal scrutiny for defamation, stalking, digital sex crimes, and manipulating evidence. The statement emphasized that the institute’s behavior shows a repeated pattern of malicious intent.
Concluding their remarks, Gold Medalist confirmed plans to file formal criminal complaints against Garosero Research Institute for breaching South Korea’s Anti-Stalking Law and the Information and Communications Network Act. The agency promised full cooperation with authorities to ensure that those responsible are held legally accountable.
