JUST REVEALED: Three shocking suitors linked to trade for blue jays star Bo Bichette

The Toronto Blue Jays may attempt to deal standout shortstop Bo Bichette this season. Bichette is nearing the final year of his contract, and Toronto is apparently not looking to extend him.

Bleacher Report’s Zachary Rymer recently speculated that the Atlanta Braves, Detroit Tigers, and Milwaukee Brewers may make a blockbuster trade for Bichette.

“Whereas the Blue Jays at least tried with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bichette says he hasn’t been approached about an extension,” he wrote. “This may be fine with him, as Bob Nightengale of USA Today claimed in January that Bichette has ‘no genuine interest’ in staying in Toronto long-term. His exact transfer value will depend on how successfully he recovers from a disappointing 2024 season.

He’ll need to avoid injuries and return to the player he was from 2021 to 2023, when he hit.300 and had 20 home runs. It will be fascinating to see if Bichette continues to play shortstop after 2025. But as a rental candidate for the rest of the season, teams will undoubtedly consider him playable.” If Bichette can recover from a bad year this season, he will be a valuable asset on the trade market. His talent is apparent.

If the Blue Jays fall out of contention before the deadline, Bichette will almost probably be traded. The Brewers could be looking to replace Willy Adames with a star. Adding Bichette would allow the Brewers to keep control of the National League Central. Both the Atlanta Braves and the Detroit Tigers have struggling shortstops. Adding Bichette would allow any team to release an underperforming player and replace him with Bichette. This entire concept is based on Bichette returning to the player he was a few seasons ago.
