Depeche Mode: M to Premiere at 2025 Tribeca Festival with Exclusive Conversation

 

Depeche Mode’s latest concert documentary, Depeche Mode: M, is set to premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Festival on Thursday, June 5. Directed by Mexican filmmaker Fernando Frías de la Parra, the film captures the band’s 2023 performances at Mexico City’s Foro Sol during their Memento Mori World Tour. The documentary delves into themes of music, mortality, and Mexican cultural traditions surrounding death .

 

The film documents three sold-out shows held at Foro Sol stadium in September 2023, attended by nearly 200,000 fans. These performances were part of Depeche Mode’s tour supporting Memento Mori, their fifteenth studio album and the first following the death of founding member Andy Fletcher in 2022 .

 

Following the premiere, there will be a live conversation with Depeche Mode members Dave Gahan and Martin Gore, alongside director Fernando Frías. This event is part of Tribeca’s Spotlight+ section, which pairs high-profile screenings with exclusive live experiences .

 

The documentary is a collaboration between Columbia Records, Anonymous Content, and Mexico’s Redrum, with Sony Music Vision handling distribution. It is scheduled for a theatrical release later in 2025 .

 

Tickets for the premiere at the OKX Theater at BMCC TPAC are available through the Tribeca Festival website. Rush tickets will also be offered at the venue when advanced tickets are no longer available .
