JUST IN: Deion Sanders rips late start time for game vs. Kansas State: ‘How stupid is that?’

Colorado football coach Deion Sanders was pleased to depart the Pac-12 Conference this year because he anticipated earlier start times against rivals in his team’s new conference, the Big 12. However, this has not shown to be the case. Sanders chastised his team’s next game at home against Kansas State, which starts at 10:15 p.m. ET on Saturday.

“Who does that?” Sanders stated Thursday on the Colorado Football Coaches Show. “I mean, who has power to sit up there and say, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna make ’em play at 8:15 (MT)?” Mark Johnson, the show’s host, informed him that television networks, namely ESPN, make such decisions. “But how stupid is that?” Sanders stated. “How stupid is that?” “This is what happens when you’ve got a program that everyone wants to see,” Johnson told reporters.

It’s a pet annoyance for Sanders, who stated on Thursday that he usually goes to bed around 8:15 p.m. He claimed he’ll take a snooze before the game.
