Liz Cheney’s Urgent Wake-Up Call: It’s Time to Fight for America, Not Just Fundraise.

Dear Leaders of the Democratic Party,

We are at a turning point, and I need to see more from you. The emails asking for small donations don’t cut it anymore — not when fascism is gaining real traction and consolidating power across all branches of government. This isn’t just a political disagreement; this is a coordinated, authoritarian assault on democracy.

The Supreme Court, the House, the Senate, and the executive branch are all aligned under an autocratic agenda. And yet, the Democratic Party still seems fixated on manners and fundraising. That approach is not only outdated — it’s dangerous. Your constituents don’t want polite speeches anymore; they demand strategic action and bold moves that dominate the news cycle, not just make headlines within it.

Every time I receive a message from the DNC, it’s a request for money. But donations should be tied to results, not resignation. Donors don’t want to watch as the Constitution is shredded while you shrug and say, “There’s not much we can do.” That’s unacceptable. If you lack creativity and resolve, why should we trust you to lead the resistance?

This country is full of educated, experienced, and battle-tested individuals. Some of us have backgrounds in military strategy or legal resistance. We know what an organized pushback looks like — and this isn’t it. Nationwide tours and rhetorical jabs in Congress are fine, but they’re not enough. We need real-time action plans.

Understand this: this presidency is not a blip in a democratic cycle. We are witnessing the architecture of authoritarianism being solidified in broad daylight. It’s been less than 100 days, and already we’re seeing erosions of our judicial system, press freedom, and civil rights. If this continues unchecked, we won’t survive the full term.

Start by forming a citizen-powered investigative coalition. We need veterans, journalists, experts, and watchdogs to document abuses, gather evidence, and make the findings public. If Congress won’t act, let the people bear witness. This effort isn’t for show — it’s for future accountability. The goal is to build an unshakable archive of truth.

Next, take the bold step of joining the International Criminal Court. Yes, it’s controversial — but it’s also a powerful statement. If the Democratic Party believes in justice and transparency, then prove it. Let the world know who’s hiding behind immunity and who stands for accountability.

Redirect campaign funds toward real resistance efforts. Support local legal defense teams, digital security initiatives, and sanctuary infrastructure. If the federal level is compromised, reinforce the state and local foundations. Treat this as the emergency it is — not another election cycle.

Your messaging strategy needs a complete overhaul. Teach people how to protect their rights. Distribute resources, training manuals, and legal kits. Empower the public with more than slogans — give them survival tools and tactical guidance. This is about public resilience.

Additionally, stop relying on U.S. mainstream media to carry the narrative. Work with international journalists and watchdog outlets. Leak information when necessary. Let the global community see what’s happening here and amplify the alarm. If the traditional platforms are complicit or complacent, outmaneuver them.

Build secure pathways for whistleblowers and regime defectors. Not everyone inside this administration supports it. Some want out but don’t know how. Create encrypted, anonymous systems to support them. And extend grace to those leaving the movement — we need them on the side of truth.

Study past regimes. Look at South Korea’s response to dictatorship — how they dismantled the infrastructure that upheld their strongman, targeting not just the leader but his enablers. The same must be done here. Investigate those behind Project 2025, every defiant staffer, and every voice reinforcing the lies.

This is not the time for decorum or moral high ground. The other side is playing to win — by any means necessary. And yet, the Democratic Party continues to act like we’re in a policy debate instead of a constitutional crisis. That disparity in urgency is what could cost us everything.

Don’t underestimate public awareness. Millions of us see the game being played — and we’re watching closely. We’re organized, we’re connected, and we’re louder than you think. You may not hear the roar now, but the pressure is building.

You still have a chance to be on the right side of history. This is your moment to lead with courage, not caution. To be remembered not for what you failed to prevent, but for how you fought back with every tool at your disposal.

But understand this: the window is closing. The buses are warming up. The mechanisms of oppression are moving. And we’re out of time for polite politics.

Sincerely, A Citizen Ready for Action
