tvN’s highly anticipated legal drama Seocho-dong has officially begun production, kicking off with an energetic script reading session that showcased a promising dynamic between lead stars Lee Jong-suk and Moon Ga-young. The two actors immediately impressed with their natural chemistry, heightening excitement for what’s being dubbed the “Legal Avengers” series.

Set in the bustling legal district of Seoul, Seocho-dong revolves around the daily lives and challenges of five associate lawyers navigating both the courtroom and their chaotic office lives. The show promises a fresh blend of legal drama and slice-of-life storytelling, combining high-stakes cases with heartfelt and humorous moments in the workplace.

Lee Jong-suk takes center stage as Ahn Joo-hyung, a seasoned ninth-year associate lawyer known for his composed demeanor and dry wit. Opposite him, Moon Ga-young plays the fiery rookie Kang Hee-ji, a first-year associate bursting with ambition and raw determination. Their contrasting personalities are set to create both tension and camaraderie on-screen.

Adding to the vibrant ensemble are Kang Yoo-seok as the endlessly talkative Cho Chang-won, Ryu Hye-young as the blunt yet lovable Bae Moon-jung, and Lim Sung-jae as Ha Sang-ki, the jaded yet relatable realist of the group. Each character brings a unique flair, promising a rich mix of personalities and office antics.

The chemistry among the actors was immediately evident during the read-through. According to production staff, the cast connected right away, creating a playful and engaging atmosphere. Their interactions hinted at sharp dialogue, emotional depth, and a strong sense of teamwork that will likely resonate with viewers.

Seocho-dong is written by Lee Seung-heon, a former attorney bringing real-life legal insight to the script. The series is scheduled to premiere this July on tvN, and it aims to offer both laughter and substance in a uniquely human take on the legal genre.
