Neil Young issues statement of support for Bruce Springstee.

In a bold display of solidarity, Neil Young has publicly backed Bruce Springsteen amid the rock legend’s escalating feud with former President Donald Trump. Springsteen, currently on his politically charged “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour, recently condemned Trump’s administration as “corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous” during a concert in Manchester, England. Trump retaliated by disparaging Springsteen on social media, calling him “overrated” and questioning his musical talent.

In 2020, he objected to the unauthorized use of his song “Rockin’ in the Free World” at Trump rallies, even filing a lawsuit that was later withdrawn. Young’s activism extends beyond politics; he’s a co-founder of Farm Aid and has been a vocal advocate for environmental causes and social justice throughout his career.

Springsteen, known for intertwining music with political commentary, continues to use his platform to address social issues. His recent performances have highlighted the struggles of blue-collar America and emphasized the importance of democracy and free speech.
