The CW will welcome Maggie and her crew back for the 2025–2026 season. Officially, the third season of the CTV sitcom has been taken up by the American network. This week marked the conclusion of The CW’s second season, which consists of ten episodes.
Starring Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, Scott Patterson, Tom Jackson, Andrea Menard, Amalia Williamson, Lindura, Dakota Taylor, Lauren Hammersley, Lynda Boyd, Reid Price, Peter Outerbridge, Allan Hawco, Michelle Nolden, and Cindy Sampson, Sullivan’s Crossing is a Canadian romantic drama television series that is based on Robyn Carr’s novel.
When her business partner is charged with fraud, Maggie Sullivan (Kohan), a successful neurosurgeon, finds her life completely upended. In an attempt to escape the aftermath, Maggie moves from Boston to Sullivan’s Crossing, the rustic coastal campground where she grew up and is managed by her father, Sully Sullivan (Patterson), who she no longer sees. Maggie renews her acquaintances and makes new ones with the locals, especially Cal Jones (Murray), a dashing newcomer who only makes her life more difficult. Maggie is compelled to face her traumatic past as she tries to discover a side of herself she had long forgotten while she works to clear her name and reputation. Maggie finds out of her father’s stroke at the start of season two, and her life is once more in disarray. After deciding to postpone her trip back to Boston to take care of Sully, Maggie finds herself back in Sullivan’s Crossing, where she must confront her mixed emotions towards her father and her developing feelings for Cal as she tries to accept the truth of her pregnancy and the potential effects it may have on her career.
Averaging 0.00 million viewers (including DVR playback until 3:00 AM) and a 0.00 rating within the 18-49 demographic, the second season of Sullivan’s Crossing aired on Wednesday nights in the United States. The demo and viewership have decreased by 0% and 0%, respectively, from season one.
Since the drama fares well for The CW and was renewed for a third season in Canada in June, the U.S. pick-up is not shocking. It’s challenging to take any renewal for granted, though, given the network’s new business strategy.
“We are thrilled to be returning to Sullivan’s Crossing for a third season next year,” stated Brad Schwartz, President of The CW Network. For the past two years, fans have been captivated by the amazing universe that Roma, this gifted cast, and the entire creative team have created. Additionally, the season finale tonight features an unmissable cliffhanger that will leave viewers wanting more.
Roma Roth, creator, showrunner, and executive producer, expressed her excitement about the opportunity to continue presenting this lovely tale of love and family with this remarkable cast. The fans’ and The CW’s love and support has been tremendous, and we are eager to share our upcoming plans with them.
