The Buckeyes had TreVeyon Henderson return for his senior year. Many expected he would enter the NFL Draft this spring but decided he would remain for one more season. It didn’t stop with him. The Buckeyes also took in Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins, one of the greatest running backs in the world, making it the best running back combo in the country.

Of course, when players return and bring in new ones, some players on the roster lose out on playing time, and for running back Dallan Hayden, that was his reality.

Hayden would be the third-string back this season after there was a potential he would be the first-string running back if Henderson left to the NFL and Judkins never transferred in.

Hayden Says Goodbye

A story came out last week that Hayden will join the spring transfer portal, and on Monday night, Hayden put out a letter on his X account thanking the team, school, and all the coaches who brought him to be a Buckeye.
Hayden had a key part in 2022 when Henderson went down late in the season. Hayden had to take charge of the snaps against Maryland and even played a key part in the Michigan game.

Ohio State preserved Hayden last season and would only let him see play for up to four games so they could save his redshirt so that Hayden will have three more seasons left of eligibility.

I wish Hayden all the best in the world. Hopefully, he will become a starter this season for a good program.
