Despite meeting new personnel, Jahkeem Stewart, the top defensive lineman in 2026, is still “very interested” at Alabama.

Alabama recruits’ reactions and ideas are still flooding Bama247 in the wake of Saturday’s inaugural Junior Day for Kalen DeBoer and his new staff. More than forty prospects, the majority of whom were meeting with the ne coaches for the first time, arrived from the 2025, ’26, and even ’27 classes.

The five-star Jahkeem Stewart (New Orleans, LA) was one of those prospects. It is certain that the new staff will give attention to the No. 1 defensive lineman and No. 3 player in the 2026 class, who was actively pursued by the previous staff. The retention of defensive line coach Freddie Roach is a major factor in that.
