Springboks head coach Rassie Erasmus organized a Christmas Day stroll in Cape Town accessible to anybody as he stressed his nation-building skills.
In 2024, Erasmus has received a lot of appreciation for his ability to unite South Africans via the Springboks’ achievements since he took over the team in 2018.

2024 honors received
Because of his profound impact on South Africans, North-West University granted him an Honorary Doctorate in Coaching Science. The coach was showered with accolades from the organization.
“Rassie exemplifies the values of perseverance, tenacity, and collaboration that are important to North-West University’s educational purpose. His accomplishments to South Africa as a nation-builder and rugby strategist are a testament to what can be accomplished when creative leadership, passion, and commitment are combined. The Council chairperson, Bert Sorgdrager, stated, “This prestigious honor is not only well-earned, but also a testament to the outstanding contributions and impact Rassie has made in the field of sport and innovative sports management.”
The FW de Klerk Foundation’s Goodwill Award, which reflects a similar spirit to the aforementioned honor, would later in the year give Erasmus more acclaim.
