Edinburgh Trams reported a medical issue on Saturday afternoon.
Around 1.30pm on X, also known as Twitter, the public transport operator warned customers of delays on 23 November.
Extended wait times are in effect while emergency services respond to the incident. The route is closed in both directions.
The specific nature of the occurrence is now unknown.
Edinburgh Trams stated: “Due to a medical incident on board a tram.” We are now experiencing prolonged wait times in both directions; thank you for your patience.”
