Jorge Lorenzo remains very attentive to MotoGP’s reality but also well-remembered about some of the competition he had to face as a rider, and this time he recalled Casey Stoner, emphasizing the Australian’s innate talent.

In an interview with Gazzetta, quoted by Crash, the three-time world champion highlighted the exceptional qualities of Casey Stoner, two-time world champion in the category.

Lorenzo, who finished second in the 2011 championship won by Stoner, didn’t spare praise for the Australian, describing him as a unique and unmatched talent in his ability to adapt and improvise: ‘Stoner was a natural talent.’

The Spaniard exemplified this opinion with a remarkable episode: ‘The track was wet, with puddles of water, and he would go out and set the track record. Everyone else took two or three seconds longer.’

For Lorenzo, this extraordinary ability of Stoner stood out undeniably: ‘An incredible improvisation and ability to immediately see the track limit. What natural talent! Either you have it, or you don’t.’
