Lukas Nelson took to Instagram on Tuesday to report that Lukas Nelson + POTR‘s equipment truck was stolen from a hotel parking lot in Seattle. The truck contained the band’s instruments and other gear including Nelson’s beloved guitars.
Those guitars included his 1956 Les Paul Junior, 1964 Gibson 335 and his custom Nacho Fender Telecaster. Watch Nelson’s’ IG post detailing the theft below:
Thankfully, Lukas later reported that the truck was found and that the thieves could not access the guitars. While they did take a soundboard, lighting package and pedals, the gear was insured and can be replaced — unlike the guitars. Nelson thanked the POTR community for getting the word out as well as Thunder Road Guitars and Emerald City Guitars who offered to provide instruments for the band’s show in Seattle last night.
