COMMITTED: Twitter celebrates Jaland Lowe’s commitment to the Kentucky Wildcats

As Mark Pope and his staff gear up for year number two in Lexington, they are working to assemble a new roster for 2025-26.

Pope landed another addition to the new roster Saturday morning in Pitt Panthers point guard Jaland Lowe, who officially committed to the Kentucky Wildcats.

The transfer portal addition spent the last two years playing for Pitt and finished the 2024-25 season averaging 16.8 points, 5.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.

Another important note about Lowe is that he started every game he played for the Panthers last season, so he’s shown durability that Kentucky could sure use more of.

Lowe earned third-team All-ACC honors this past season and is currently ranked as the 20th-best player in the transfer portal this cycle by 247 Sports.

This is a great addition for Pope and his staff. Lowe joins Kam Williams (Tulane) as the newest gets for the Cats.
