BREAKING: Tensions erupt in French film star Delon’s family

Alain Delon's children wage public war for more than just movie star's inheritance

An interview with a magazine by the son of French film great Alain Delon has ignited open warfare in his family, with the screen legend instantly stating that he would file a complaint over his child’s views.

Anthony Delon told Paris Match in an interview published on Thursday, January 4, that his father struggles to accept his weak state of health and blamed his half-sister of making him vulnerable by concealing health issues.

Concerns about Delon’s health grew after his family released a photo of the actor at a Christmas Eve dinner, showing him looking pale and frail.

Alain Delon, 88, is in a “weakened” position and “can no longer bear to see himself like that, diminished,” Anthony Delon told Paris Match.

The star of classic films such as Swimming Pool, The Leopard, and Purple Noon had a serious stroke in July 2019 and now rarely leaves his estate in Douchy, France’s Loire region.

“He doesn’t speak much, it tires him or it annoys him when we make him repeat [himself], because his voice is no longer always clear, or audible,” stated Anthony Delon during the conversation. There are “major risks” that this would be “his last Christmas,” he said.

However, Alain Delon was “extremely shocked by the media outburst orchestrated by his son Anthony” and plans to file a complaint against him, according to his lawyer Christophe Ayela.

Alain Delon informed him that he “cannot stand the aggressiveness of his son Anthony, who keeps telling him that he is senile,” and that what is even “more shocking” is that his son “claims to have lived his last Christmas.” The lawyer claimed Delon implored him, “But what father could bear that?”

‘To ruin reputation.’
Concerns about Alain Delon’s well-being arose last year when his three children filed a complaint against his former live-in helper Hiromi Rollin, accusing her of harassment and threatening behaviour.

Anthony Delon also filed a second lawsuit, alleging Rollin of assault and attempting to isolate his father. Rollin, who was ejected from the actor’s residence in July, has written to prosecutors to contest the claims levelled against her and has filed her own complaint.

French prosecutors announced on Thursday that no further action would be taken in response to any of the allegations, citing insufficient evidence to suggest a crime.

But in the interview, Anthony Delon, the son of Delon’s former wife Nathalie Delon, revealed new family tensions about his father’s care. He stated that he had reported his younger half-sister Anouchka, the daughter of Alain Delon and Dutch model Rosalie van Breemen, to the police for failing to inform the family about his father’s performance in cognitive tests in 2019.

“My sister never informed my brother and me that between 2019 and 2022, my father had been subjected to five cognitive tests during his visits to the clinic in Switzerland and that he did not pass any of them,” according to the newspaper. The findings identified “a cognitive degradation which places my father in a position of psychological weakness, and therefore of vulnerability,” according to him.

Alain Delon’s attorney claimed that Anthony “has only one goal, to harm the reputation of his daughter Anouchka and the unique relationship that he has always had with Anouchka.”

Anthony Delon stated that day-to-day care for his father is now in the hands of his father’s youngest kid, Alain-Fabien Delon, whose mother is also Rosalie van Breemen and who posted the family photo on his Instagram account.
