Between them, the late George Michael and Sir Elton John boast countless chart-topping singles and albums.

Now, the pair’s timeless classics – including Careless Whisper, Faith, Freedom ‘90, Fastlove, Father Figure, I Want Your Sex, Tiny Dancer, Rocket Man, Your Song, Bennie and the Jets, Candle in the Wind and Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word, to name a dozen – will be honoured by two iconic Aussie music legends Anthony Callea and Tim Campbell at Newcastle’s Civic Theatre on Saturday 31 May.

Known for their powerhouse vocals and dynamic stage presence, the duo is set to take the audience on a musical journey through the hits that have defined generations.

The eagerly-anticipated “live” national tour has been a natural progression after a series of sold-out concerts where Callea and Campbell presented Elton and George’s anthems alongside John Foreman and the Australian Pops Orchestra.

“We have been blown away by the reaction to our Hamer Hall and Sydney Oprea House shows next month,” they said.

“And, with countless messages on our socials asking for us to bring it to more cities and towns around the country, we decided we’d do it.

“We can’t wait to bring the musical genius, fun and good times to as many parts of Australia as possible, including Newcastle.

“Live performances were a testament to George Michael’s stage presence and charisma while Elton John’s shows are renowned for their theatricality and high energy.

“So, this is a chance for audiences to be part of an electrifying celebration of their incredible music.”

With their unique on-stage chemistry and shared love and admiration for these two renowned artists, Callea and Campbell are ready to create an unforgettable and entertaining music concert experience.
