Tiger Woods adds three huge names to his TGL team, the appropriate response to Jon Rahm’s setback
Tiger Woods lost one of golf’s greatest stars, Jon Rahm, from the TGL roster following his departure to LIV Golf, but this has not stopped the PGA Tour star from building his own team.

Tiger Woods has added three names to his TGL team.

Tiger Woods has revealed that other PGA Tour talents Max Homa, Tom Kim, and Kevin Kisner will join him on his TGL squad Jupiter Links GC.

Woods, along with Rory McIlroy, co-founded the unique league and will represent his hometown of Jupiter in its inaugural season, which begins in 2025. And, five months after being named owner of the Jupiter franchise, Woods has finally expanded his roster.

He will compete against PGA Tour veteran Kisner, as well as six-time winner and Ryder Cup player Homa. South Korean sensation Kim, one of golf’s most exciting prospects, rounds out the four-man lineup.

Despite the support of some of the PGA Tour’s top personalities, TGL has faced numerous challenges. Late last year, the tech-based league was forced to postpone its inauguration by a year due to damage to their purpose-built SoFi Center stadium, which pushed season one from 2024 to 2025.

They are also on the lookout for two more additions to round out their lineup, thanks to the allure of LIV Golf. Jon Rahm was the first to depart, as the Spaniard claimed that he had broken his promise to compete on the TGL circuit before deciding to move to Saudi Arabia.

Rahm then signed Ryder Cup teammate Hatton, who will join the two-time major champion’s newly formed LIV squad, Legion XIII. Tyrrell Hatton was also on the TGL roster, but he has since been removed off the innovative league’s website due to his loyalty to the breakaway league.

“I have already shared my excitement and optimism for TGL as a league and product,” Woods said in response to his colleagues’ declaration. “Now that we have finalised our roster with a team of world-class golfers, I am even more confident that this group will proudly represent the Jupiter area and connect with our fans for years to come.”
