Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown is driving supporters to fear.

Brown just updated his Twitter/X profile photo to Tom Brady and the internet went crazy thinking he has an interest in joining the New England Patriots.

But that wasn’t the case as Brown responded to fans in a post to clarify that it signified nothing and that he simply is a Brady fan:

“TB12 is my favorite player ever. I watch(ed) the dynasty and it brought back some memories from my childhood. Go look up what he did in 2015 when he was doubted/ insulted. Yeah I see the disrespect. Motivated … yes. That’s it. I Did not think changing my pfp (profile picture) to the best QB ever would spark controversy.”

And then he erased the post, which created even more suspicion.

However, Sports Illustrated’s NFL expert Albert Breer saved the day and got to the bottom of the claims, proving that Brown isn’t going anywhere.

“I did have to run this up the flag pole with a few different people,” Breer remarked on NBC Sports Boston. “Philadelphia has gotten inquiries on A.J. Brown and they have shut them all down and have told other teams that he is not available.”

While Brown exhibited clear irritation in 2023 following the Eagles’ devasting defeat, they would be insane to let him go.

As Jalen Hurts’ favorite target, Brown hauled in a career-high 106 receptions for 1,456 yards and seven scores through 17 games last autumn.

The Eagles are not fooling around in 2024 after they altered up their coaching staff by signing Kellen Moore as their new offensive coordinator and Vic Fangio as their defensive coordinator. They also paid significant money to sign running back Saquon Barkley and bolstered up their defense in NFL free agency.

Brown may love to stir things up on social media, but he isn’t abandoning Philly’s “win now” offense.
