Blue Jays news: Juan Soto contract Deal Sealed; Rumors come true..

MLB rumors: According to an anonymous player, the Blue Jays are drafting an outrageous salary offer for Juan Soto.

Another MLB star is just weeks away from going up for grabs and igniting the baseball offseason, almost a year after the media frenzy surrounding Shohei Ohtani’s free agency. Juan Soto is that guy, of course, and the Toronto Blue Jays are the team with whom he may sign the second-largest contract in North American sports history!

Although many people believe that the New York Yankees and New York Mets are the front-runners for Soto, a number of other teams will try to sign the 25-year-old. The Blue Jays, who attempted to get Ohtani during the previous offseason, are one among them.

An unnamed active player who once played with Soto is the basis of this rumor. Scott Boras is his agent as well. The Blue Jays are rumored to be sinking their heels into an extraordinary Soto bid.

According to Randy Miller of NJ.com, Soto’s pal stated, “Watch for the Blue Jays to make an astronomical offer.” “I was able to personally hear it.”

Given the team’s situation going into the previous summer, it wasn’t astonishing to see the Blue Jays extend an offer to Ohtani. Even though they won 91 games in 2021 and were coming off back-to-back playoff appearances, Toronto managed to finish fourth in a stacked AL East.

Given that multi-time All-Stars Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette are scheduled to become free agents following the 2025 season, a 15-win drop and a last-place finish in 2024 could alter the franchise’s prospects. Apparently, the Blue Jays are still pursuing Soto in spite of this.

The player, who wished to remain anonymous, stated, “The Blue Jays believe Soto would be ideal for their lineup and team.” “I am aware that their management believes that Soto and Guerrero would be similar to Soto and (Aaron) Judge for the Yankees this season.”

Although Soto’s free agency has been discussed for more than a year, the four-time All-Star’s offseason signing is not now the main topic of discussion. Instead, Soto and the Yankees are in the middle of an AL Division Series matchup with the Kansas City Royals.
