Liverpool has apparently been offered the option to recruit a player dubbed a “monster” this summer for at least £50 million.

Liverpool considering summer additions.

The Reds may still be looking for their next manager after Jurgen Klopp, making summer transfer business difficult at the moment, but that doesn’t mean that numerous players haven’t been linked with transfers to Anfield.

For example, Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners is regarded as a top target for Liverpool, particularly if Xabi Alonso succeeds Klopp at the end of the season. That’s because the Spaniard is a big fan of the Dutchman, which may mean he wants to bring him in.

Another ambitious Reds target is Real Madrid star Rodrygo, and while the La Liga club is loath to sell one of their most valuable assets, the expected arrival of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain may limit his playing opportunities.

It’s possible that the Brazilian is viewed as a potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah as Liverpool’s attacking leader, though there’s no reason why the current Reds superstar can’t stay at the top level for several more years.

Georgiy Sudakov, one of Shakhtar Donetsk’s finest players, has also been linked with a move to Liverpool, but the club may have to pay over £85 million to sign the highly-rated young offensive midfielder.

Liverpool might sign a “monster” worth more than £50 million.

According to HITC, Liverpool has been offered the opportunity to recruit Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer this summer and has been approached through intermediaries. He would certainly cost at least £50 million due to his release clause.

The Reds are not alone in their desire, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Tottenham also involved. According to the article, “there is a very real possibility” that Bremer “could be on the move again after just two seasons with the Bianconeri.”

The 27-year-old might be a fantastic signing for Liverpool in the summer window, given that Joel Matip is slated to leave when his current contract expires. Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk becomes 33 this summer and will need to be replaced at some point, while Ibrahima Konate’s injury history may pose an issue.

Bremer has the physical attributes to succeed in the Premier League, having won 2.9 aerial duels per game in Serie A this season. That is only surpassed by Van Dijk (4.3) and Konate (3.2) for the Reds, demonstrating that he can more than hold his own in the back line.

Whether the new manager believes a younger option is preferable is debatable, given that the Juventus player is already 27, but he is an experienced figure who should remain in his prime for the foreseeable future, and analyst Ben Mattinson has dubbed him a “monster”.
