This summer, Paris Saint-Germain are allegedly interested in signing Liverpool’s Luis Diaz.

The French giants are considering prospective successors for Kylian Mbappe, who is set to join Real Madrid. However, PSG is not the only team keeping an eye on the Colombian, with Barcelona and AC Milan also rumored to be interested.

While PSG has the financial resources to entice Diaz away from Anfield, the Reds would be hesitant to lose such an important player to their forward line. The 27-year-old, who joined Liverpool for £37.5 million from FC Porto in 2022, has a deal until 2027.

According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Diaz is on PSG’s shortlist. Antero Henrique, Porto’s previous sporting director, reportedly offered the forward.

The French champions could take advantage of Jurgen Klopp’s exit in the summer, as Diaz has a good relationship with the Reds manager. The club is yet to finalize the official appointment of a sporting director – believed to be Richard Hughes alongside Michael Edwards – so decisions about players’ futures will have to wait until then.

Diaz is said to be delighted at Anfield following a difficult period in which he battled with his father’s kidnapping. The club played an important role in bringing his family closer.

When asked about his transition to the club, Diaz remarked in October: “As for the future, I can see myself winning many trophies with this great club, starting with trying to win everything that is up for grabs this season.” And doing exactly what I do best, which is play football, score goals, and assist.”

Marcus Rashford of Manchester United is also believed to be on PSG’s radar.
