Bosa looks at two critical areas for the 49ers to break their losing streak against the Chiefs.

A victory at this point in the 2024 NFL season can have a positive psychological and statistical impact.

A sense of relief washed over star defensive end Nick Bosa after the 49ers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 36-24 on the road at Lumen Field on Thursday night, tying San Francisco for first place in the NFC West.

Bosa said to reporters on Thursday night, “Yes, it’s huge.” This was obviously a significant victory. We are running out of time to get certain guys back to full health.

Can the victory, though, also serve as the catalyst for a victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7 at Levi’s Stadium?

Bosa thinks so.

Bosa continued, “We have a long road ahead of us.” “We begin with the squad that we haven’t defeated since my arrival. That one was definitely an attempt to get the monkey off our back.

With their victory on Thursday, the 49ers demonstrated that they are not interested in being among the worst red-zone teams in the NFL, while also putting the resentment of their current winless skid versus NFC West opponents behind them.
San Francisco will now go into a mini-bye before playing again on Sunday, October 20, in a rematch of Super Bowl LVIII in addition to a marquee game.

Maybe San Francisco uses everything that went well in Seattle to defeat Kansas City and win for the first time since 2014.

For Bosa and company, such is the hope.
