According to sources, Chelsea has a “serious interest” in Fulham left defender Antonee Robinson.

According to GiveMeSport, the Blues will undoubtedly be active in the summer transfer window, with a left defender serving as competition and backup for Ben Chilwell likely to be a priority.

Chilwell has been hampered by injury issues during his time at Chelsea, and Maurico Pochettino has been limited on options at left back this season, resulting in Levi Colwill playing a handful of games there.

Chelsea are anticipated to sell Ian Maatsen, who is presently on loan at Borussia Dortmund, this summer, as well as try to move Marc Cucurella, who has disappointed since his large money signing from Brighton in 2022.

According to the same report, Fulham’s Robinson is the left defender in question, and the Blues believe he is worth roughly £35 million.

According to GiveMeSport, Chelsea has been watching Robinson for the past year and is impressed by his attacking mindset and pace, as well as the club’s belief that his defensive game has improved.

Fulham are not in a position to sell Robinson, who still has more than four years left on his contract.

This season, the American has been an important member for Marco Silva’s team, appearing in 33 matches across all competitions.
