Trey Nyoni and Amara Nallo, Liverpool juniors, practiced with the first team ahead of Thursday’s Europa League match against Sparta Prague.

Nyoni made his FA Cup debut for the Reds last week, coming on as a substitute in a 3-0 victory over Southampton. The 16-year-old midfielder, who joined from Leicester City, was an unused substitute in the Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea.

Meanwhile, centre-back Nallo, who joined from West Ham, was named to the matchday squad against Southampton. The 17-year-old has made numerous appearances for Liverpool’s under-21s this season.

Despite Liverpool’s huge injury list, neither teenager will be able to play Sparta in the first leg of the last-16. They are ineligible for the Reds’ List B squad since they have not been with the club for two years straight since their 15th birthdays.

It means they’d have to play on List A, even though Liverpool’s 25-man roster is already at capacity. In truth, Joel Matip, who has a long-term ACL injury, has been withdrawn so that goalkeeper Adrian can be inserted in place of No.1 Alisson Becker, who is injured in his hamstring. Adrian is not included in the group stage team.

Mo Salah has been included to Liverpool’s 23-man squad, as he prepares to recover from a hamstring injury. However, Jayden Danns, 18, who scored twice in last week’s win over Southampton, is not included. The attacker suffered a concussion during the 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest and will be unable to play.
