Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are expected to be in the running for Wolfsburg’s Jonas Wind this summer if he expresses a desire to leave the German club.

The Wolfsburger Allgemeine Aller-Zeitung reports that the Premier League clubs are interested in the striker.

According to the newspaper, despite Wind hasn’t scored in 14 games and appears to be in a rut in terms of play, his popularity hasn’t waned.

In reality, according to their information, at least three English clubs have Wind on their roster, albeit only Fulham and Wolves are mentioned.

They claim Wind is appreciated by both teams because he is a ‘classic box player’ who can ‘place down balls flawlessly’, is powerful in aerial duels due to his physique, and is normally ‘ice cold’ in the box.
He also speaks flawless English, ensuring ‘rapid integration’ into the club if he relocates to England this summer.

For the time being, Fulham and Wolves just ‘have their eye’ on him, but his recent goal drought hasn’t deterred them.

Wind has previously stated in interviews that he would be glad to play in the Premier League, but he is not pressing for a move at this time, nor are the Germans pushing him out. Both parties value what they have in each other.

However, the scenario could alter in the summer, especially if Wind does well in Euro 2024 with Denmark and Wolfsburg fails to qualify for Europe this season, as appears inevitable.

The notion is that Wind may request a move, and if so, Wolfsburg expects a ‘lucrative economic arrangement’ in return.

They spent €12 million for Wind in 2022 and expect to get at least double that if he leaves, with the striker valued at €25 million, something Fulham and Wolves will have to be mindful of.
