A video of Nottingham Forest fans reacting to Darwin Nunez’s late Liverpool goal has surfaced on social media.

The home team was startled when Nunez scored a 99th-minute header to secure all three points at the City Ground in what had been a closely contested match. Forest fans were especially enraged at the score because of an incident that occurred two minutes earlier.

Liverpool was the only team to receive a drop-ball following a collision between Caoimhin Kelleher and Ibrahima Konate from the hosts’ corner. Jurgen Klopp’s team refused to let up in their pursuit of a winner, and they found it with only seconds left following an amazing piece of play from Alexis Mac Allister on the edge of the penalty box, beautifully chipping the ball to the back post to be attacked.
“That’s a disgrace,” one supporter can be heard saying in the background after the ball hits the back of the net. He continued, “That is disgusting! That is beyond a disgrace… look at it. That’s a disgrace. That is outright robbery. That’s just horrible.”

Much has been said about the way in which this goal was scored, with Alan Shearer branding it “totally wrong” during his commentary on Match of the Day. Dermot Gallagher, a former Premier League referee, admitted Paul Tierney made a mistake by not including Forest in the drop-ball, but maintained that this moment could not be directly linked to Liverpool’s subsequent victory two minutes later.
