BREAKING: Eagles get big injury update on A.J. Brown & DeVonta Smith ahead of Week 6

It was the ideal time for the Philadelphia Eagles to get a bye in Week 5. They had lost their previous three games.

The Eagles lost receivers A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) to injury, but on Monday, Philadelphia received some excellent news about its two best players.

According to what I understand, the #eagles anticipate having their two best wide receivers, DeVonta Smith (concussion) and A.J. Brown (hamstring), back this week against the #browns.

Eagles News: A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith Should Return in Week 6 The Eagles, who visit the Cleveland Browns in Week 6, are anticipating the return of both Brown and Smith to the field, according to James Palmer of Underdog Fantasy.

After hamstring strain, Brown has missed the previous three games while recovering. Smith, meantime, barely missed the most recent game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The offensive scheme of the Eagles appears significantly altered with their absence from the field. Philadelphia’s offense in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was limited to 227 yards overall, or 4.1 yards per play.

This is a huge relief for the Birds, as pressure is starting to mount on them. Brown has 199 catches for 3,071 yards and 19 touchdowns in 35 games with Philadelphia. Additionally, he has recorded more than 1,400 receiving yards in back-to-back seasons.

Smith is referred to as Mr. Reliable. Over the course of four seasons with Philadelphia, the Alabama product has amassed 261 receptions for 3,417 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Both of these players could provide some fuel and explosiveness to the offense, as the Eagles are huge 8.5-point favorites over the Browns at FanDuel Sportsbook right now.
