Nicole Kidman and her husband, Keith Urban, are reportedly considering returning to Australia following what has been the actress’s worst year. Following the untimely death of her mother, Janelle, in September, Kidman returned to Sydney for her burial. According to family sources, she may be suffering from ‘burnout’ as a result of work-related travel and emotional stress.

Previously, she described waking up in the middle of the night, gasping and crying. Urban, who is also wanting to take a break from touring, is focused on supporting his wife as they go through this emotional chapter together.

Kidman, an Australian native, may be pondering a permanent return to her hometown. According to a source for Woman’s Day magazine, the Babygirl star and Keith “have had their worst year ever.” They’ve rarely spent any time together, and she’s had some of her most difficult times alone.” According to the insider, “The big concern is how much more she can endure.” The actress recently travelled to Sydney with her family, including her younger sister Antonia, to grieve the loss of her mother, Janelle, who died at the age of 84.

The announcement came only hours before Kidman was scheduled to win the Best Actress prize for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival. Previously, in a GQ interview, she characterised the painful loss as “a wake-up-at-3-a.m. crying and gasping kind of thing.”

“Mortality. Connection. Life coming at you, losing parents, raising children, marrying, and everything else that goes into becoming a fully conscious human. “I’m in all of those places,” she explained.

A source close to the actress stated that she has been working tirelessly, even dealing with grief over her mother’s death by immersing herself in her job. “She’s been through so much, and she seems to be dealing with her grief by throwing herself into work,” a source told me. Her hectic schedule is generating anxiety among friends and family, as the actress reportedly suffers from ‘burnout’ while balancing gruelling press tours and movie commitments.

“She sometimes sleeps on a plane rather than in a bed. “Everyone is worried about her,” the person said.

When asked about her plans to return to Australia in 2018, the Aussie beauty revealed that she and her Australian husband, Keith Urban, did not intend to make the move permanently. “We’re Nashvillians,” she informed US Weekly. “My husband’s career is there. We’re pleased there right now.” The pair apparently owns a $4.89 million 20-room estate in Nashville, a Beverly Hills residence, and a stylish duplex in Chelsea, New York. In addition, they have a farmhouse in Australia and two penthouses in Sydney.

Babygirl’s release date
Babygirl, starring Kidman, is set to be released on Christmas Day in the United States. In the United Kingdom, the film will premiere on January 10. Halina Reijn directed the picture, which stars Antonio Banderas, Harris Dickinson, and Gaite Jansen.
