Nick Bosa: Blessing in disguise to play Thursday after blowing lead against Cardinals

Nick Bosa reveals 'blessing in disguise' after 49ers choke vs. Cardinals

Players typically dislike playing Thursday night games due to the rapid turnaround from Sunday, but 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa isn’t grumbling about this week’s schedule.

The 49ers will play at Seattle on Thursday night, and Bosa is excited because it will allow the team to move on from Sunday. The Niners led the Cardinals 23-10 at halftime, but failed to score in the next 30 minutes, and the Cardinals won 24-23 after linebacker Kyzir White intercepted Brock Purdy with little over a minute remaining.

“I believe we should turn the page on this one. “It’s pretty clear what happened and why we lost,” Bosa told 49ersWebzone.com. “So I think it’s kind of a blessing in disguise that we’re playing on Thursday.”

Kyle Shanahan, the head coach, shared similar sentiments. He stated that there is nothing that can be done to change what happened on the pitch on Sunday and that “it’s better to only have to wait until Thursday than have to wait until next Sunday” to recover.

The Seahawks are also coming off a loss to the Giants on Sunday, and the club that best recovers will be in a better position in the NFC West heading into Week Seven.
