Football’s top academies have traditionally been at Manchester United.
The Red Devils have consistently produced some of the best players, starting with the Class of 1992 and continuing through the present group that includes players like Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay.
Who will be the next actors from United on the production line?
According to Scott McTominay, who spoke with FootballJOE, there are four young players that everyone should be aware of.
The midfield player discussed the next generation of players at Old Trafford.
“Who should everyone be aware of who is currently passing through the academy?” stated McTominay.
Many players practice with us on a regular basis, including Dan Gore, Kobbie (Mainoo), Omari (Forson), Reece Bennett, and others. It’s encouraging to watch them make progress for us. Everyone who has completed the academy has been there before, and that is what we need. I’m here to help as much as I can, McTominay stated.
Even though things on the field for United may not be going so well right now, things could get better in the future.
As McTominay notes, United has a number of gifted young players coming through at the moment, and Kobbie Mainoo is one of them who is already having a significant impact on the first team.
Should the other young players McTominay suggests have a similar trajectory, United’s youthful roster in the future years will be really intriguing.
While it’s impossible to predict a young player’s future progress, it’s reasonable to assume that since these four are currently practicing with the first team and making an impression, they may all possess unique qualities.
