Josh Chapman and Denzel Devall, two former Alabama athletes who played for Nick Saban, were sighted on Thursday at Central Phenix City High School in Phenix City, Alabama, along with Crimson Tide staff members Robert Gillespie, the running back coach for Alabama.

The Alabama football program continues to be greatly dependent on homegrown talent. From Kool-Aid McKinstry of Birmingham, Alabama, who was a part of the last chapter of Nick Saban’s tenure at Alabama, to Julio Jones of Foley, Alabama, who helped establish the standard of the Saban dynasty in Tuscaloosa.
It is no secret that Kalen DeBoer will need to hire from the state’s expanding skill pool, and it appears he is starting to put the necessary pieces in place.
