Jelly Roll has rapidly become a fan favourite thanks to his sincerity and soulful sound, but there’s a lot about the “Need a Favour” singer that will surprise even his most devoted admirers – and his staff.
“I’ve known sign language since high school because I had a friend who was deaf,” Jelly Roll, 39, tells Us Weekly’s 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me in the magazine’s latest issue, which is now on newsstands. “I surprised my team the other day when I had a conversation with a [American Sign Language] interpreter.”
Don’t judge a book by its cover, either, as the Grammy-nominated singer admits to being a bit of a bookworm.
“I read The Alchemist and Tuesdays With Morrie every year,” adds the author.
