The players from Hull City will return to Turkey the following month to benefit from some warm-weather training before the impending international break. A few days after their away match against Norwich City on Saturday, the Tigers’ team will travel to Antalya for a week-long training camp. This will be the third game in a week after matches against QPR and Cardiff City this weekend. On Saturday, October 12, Walter’s team will be back in England, ready to gear up for two massive home games. The first is a match against Sunderland on Sunday, October 20, followed by Burnley’s visit to the MKM Stadium on Wednesday night.
All but one of City’s 17 new recruits since the preseason tour to Istanbul in July have joined in recent weeks, so manager Tim Walter will use the trip as an opportunity to solidify his squad. This will give Walter the ideal opportunity to get players who arrived on deadline day, or more recently in the case of Alzate and Pedro, to spend more time with the current group of players. It will also give Dogukan Sinik more time on the training field, as well as injured players Ryan Longman, Andy Smith, Thimothee Lo-Tutala, and Harvey Cartwright. The international team of Kasey Palmer and Liam Millar, who are currently overseas on international duty with Canada and Jamaica, respectively, will sadly be absent from Walter.”We’re having another pre-season camp. Unfortunately, we don’t have all of the national players with us, but it’s still wonderful to have everyone together, almost like we’re preparing them again, and it’s especially important to spend a lot of time together,” Walter said Hull Live. “Spending time together and engaging in activities both on and off the field.
