The Mets will welcome back Francisco Lindor for the season’s first game of a crucial series.
Despite the fact that he suffered an injury that might have potentially ended his season, Mets superstar Francisco Lindor is making his comeback to the lineup at a time when New York is in desperate need of his services.

It is estimated that there is approximately one week left in the regular season for the New York Mets to complete one of the most shocking accomplishments in the history of Major League Baseball by qualifying for the postseason. As the 2024 season began, everyone anticipated that the Mets would be sellers at the trade deadline, where they would part ways with notable players like Pete Alonso in order to initiate the process of rebuilding their roster. The tables were turned quite rapidly.

At the beginning of Saturday night, the Mets held a two-game lead over their division rivals, the Atlanta Braves, in the race for the last National League Wild Card position. In order for the Mets to keep their hopes of making the postseason alive, they will have to go to Atlanta for a crucial three-game series that could determine who receives the last National League Wild Card. What appears to be the case is that the Mets will have a key player back in their lineup when the series begins on Tuesday.

A return from injury is on the horizon for Francisco Lindor.

Francisco Lindor, who plays switch hitting shortstop for the New York Mets, has been a significant contributor to the team’s success this season. His contributions have included a significant amount of success. For the season, Lindor is hitting .271 with 31 home runs and 86 RBIs. In what is his 10th year in the MLB, Lindor currently has the 2nd most stolen bases he ever has in a season.

Lindor missed his first game of the season on Saturday, Sept. 14 when due to back soreness. He attempted to return to the lineup on Sept. 15 but was removed from in just the second inning with discomfort still lingering.

This injury has caused Lindor to remain sidelined since and many believed that it could have marked the end of his season. However, Mets fans received the best news possible about Lindor’s injury situation.

Lindor has received appropriate treatment for his back ailment and has been engaged in baseball activities to make sure he is fit enough to return to game action. With the Mets season potentially on the line when they travel to Truist Park on Tuesday, Fransico Lindor’s return could not come at a better time for the New York Mets.
