According to Essence, the 26-year-old quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles proposed to his fiancée in front of a candlelit backdrop with an ocean sunset in the background.
In a series of pictures the source was able to secure, the pair gave the public a peek into their engagement. The couple, who were both wearing white to allude to their impending wedding, were seen smiling and holding hands in one picture. Candles lit up the area around them, and there was even a violinist playing in the background.
The two could be seen cuddling up to one other in a second photo while admiring the sunset. Burrows’ left hand was resting on his back, revealing a huge sparkling diamond.

When Burrows joined him on the field to celebrate his team’s NFC Championship victory over the San Francisco 49ers in January 2023, the football player first made romantic overtures to her.
In September 2024, at the Eagles’ inaugural game in Brazil versus the Green Bay Packers, Burrows was observed encouraging him.
It also looks like the couple has a long history together. In an April interview with Essence, Hurts revealed more about his connection with Burrows, saying the two had been dating intermittently ever since they first met at the University of Alabama.

While Burrows was a part of the university’s MBA Case Team, Hurts guided the Crimson Tide to conference and national titles while Hurts was an undergraduate.
Hurts told Essence in a 2023 interview that he saw himself as “spoken for.”

“I knew a long time ago,” he added about Burrows. “I mean, that’s an indelible feeling at this stage in my life. That, I believe, is what made it possible for us to arrive at this point.
Hurts left the school early in 2019 to play his senior season at Oklahoma, but Burrows completed her bachelor’s degree in 2017 and went on to earn her MBA at Alabama’s Manderson School of Business. According to LinkedIn, she has been employed by IBM as an artificial intelligence partner for around four years, and she resides in Dallas.
Regarding the football player, he is a native of Houston, and he recently inked a five-year contract deal worth $255 million with the Eagles, which makes him the highest paid athlete in NFL history on an annual basis.
According to Eagles CEO Jeffrey Lurie, “the future is so great for him,” according to ESPN. “He is 24 years old. To be honest, I don’t know if I’ve ever encountered someone so mature at 24.”
