FINALLY: One Of Pink Floyd’s Most Famous Albums Manages A Surprisingly Robust Comeback

Pink Floyd is lucky enough to count several albums in their discographies that many refer to as both classics and blockbusters. The band has produced some of the most commercially successful full-lengths in rock music history, and their work remains incredibly popular and impactful to this day.

One of Pink Floyd’s most famous projects manages quite the comeback on the charts in the group’s home country this week. The band fills a number of rungs on a handful of tallies with several successful albums, but one stands out, as it’s having quite the special moment.

Wish You Were Here is found on four different charts in the U.K. this week. It returns to three of them, and rises on the fourth, so it’s clear that consumption of the title–largely through sales–is up.

This frame, Wish You Were Here returns highest on the Official Album Downloads tally, where it settles at No. 72. It’s also back on the Official Albums Sales ranking, landing at No. 88. The same effort barely manages to find its way to the Official Physical Albums chart, as it reappears at No. 96 on the 100-spot roster.

Pink Floyd’s bestseller has performed best among those four charts on the Official Rock & Metal Albums list. The set has climbed as high as No. 3 on that tally. It’s narrowly reached the top 40 on both the physical and sales rankings as well.
