Before going for the 2024 Paris Olympics, LeBron James signed a two-year contract agreement with the Lakers worth $104 million. This is likely to be the future NBA Hall of Famer’s final contract before retiring in the Purple and Gold.
LeBron James is the highest-paid player on the Los Angeles Lakers, and team owner Jeanie Buss believes his contract is still a ‘value’ given his influence since joining in 2018. The 39-year-old remains one of the league’s finest players, having led the squad to the 2019/20 season championship.

“I think it’s so competitive that it really has to be something he wants to do,” Buss said of James’ participation in the Olympics. And we always support our athletes’ decisions about whether or not to play for their national team. And it was a huge issue for LeBron. And, while he is our highest-paid athlete, it is still a good deal for me,” she told AM570LASports.
