Houston Texans v New Orleans Saints

When it comes to sports, everyone has an opinion. This time of year, a few weeks before the NFL regular season begins, many individuals are attempting to express their opinions. However, there is a risk: you could wind up being completely wrong.

That was recently the case with Kurt Benkert, a former NFL quarterback. After five years in the league, including three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, Benkert has moved into the media. He recently attempted a dunk on the New Orleans Saints and their fans.

Benkert went on a rage, claiming that Saints fans are crazy because they “believe their team is a Super Bowl team.” He also implied that Saints supporters believe Derek Carr is the guy. Anyone who is aware with the fans appreciates the humour of his entire speech, which could not be further from the truth.

Kurt Benkert understands nothing about Saints supporters.
New Orleans supporters readily concede to being one of the league’s most pessimistic groups. This was clearly visible in the post’s comments and quotation responses. Saints supporters, as well as other fans familiar with NFL social media, were eager to point out how Benkert’s thesis contradicts reality.

However, like many people do when they’re being cooked on social media, Benkert discovered a couple of posts to back up his claim. Unfortunately for him, those guys represent the minority of Saints fans who are active online. Sure, there are always some fans who are unwaveringly hopeful and devoted to the club, but they aren’t among the most vocal online.

Benkert misled Saints supporters by discussing Derek Carr and Drew Brees in the same phrase. Carr is already divisive enough; insulting the public’s intelligence by linking him to Brees in any manner will undoubtedly unite the fanbase against you.

He completed his analysis by projecting that New Orleans will not win many games this season. He even went so far as to declare that there is only one game on the schedule that he believes the club should win. However, by that time in the video, you had most likely stopped watching or didn’t care what further he had to say about the Saints because he had demonstrated that he had no idea what he was talking about.
