BREAKING: Analyst Rips Titans’ Bold Offseason Move

It was anticipated that the Tennessee Titans’ signing and trade of cornerback L’Jarius Sneed with the Kansas City Chiefs over the offseason would greatly strengthen their defense.

Sneed had recently proven to be one of the top corners in football by playing a key role in the Chiefs’ back-to-back Super Bowl victories.

Regretfully, Sneed’s situation with the Titans has not turned out as planned thus far.

Early in the season, the seasoned defensive back has frequently been burned, and in Week 6, Sneed’s difficulties were clearly evident against the Indianapolis Colts.

Titan Sized’s Justin Melo is now criticizing Sneed for not living up to expectations.

“Fast forward five showings into the 2024 campaign and Sneed has not met those sizable expectations,” Melo stated. “He played his worst game of the young season in Sunday’s defeat to the Indianapolis Colts, one that dropped the Titans to a hapless 1-4 and 0-3 at home.”

This season, Sneed has amassed 23 tackles in just five games. At Pro Football Focus, he has an ugly 36.3 overall grade and has not yet recorded a pass defensed. Despite being dubbed the NFL’s top cornerback by defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, the 27-year-old nevertheless remains undrafted.

The Titans are responsible for a significant financial amount as they signed Sneed to a four-year, $76 million contract, exacerbating the situation for Tennessee. To get him, they also had to give up a third-round draft pick.

It’s difficult to hold Tennessee responsible. In fact, some questioned whether Kansas City was getting too little in return for the third-round pick.

However, Sneed, like the Titans’ other free-agent additions, has been a huge letdown in Music City thus far.

While some predicted Sneed would play in his first Pro Bowl in 2024, he is most definitely not going to do it this season.
