This offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles have been aggressive in terms of upgrading their club. Following a catastrophic end to the 2023 season, they made it a priority to improve the roster.

They signed Saquon Barkley, Bryce Huff, Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, and Devin White during the offseason, all of whom will make an effect coming fall.

The Eagles also signed quarterback Kenny Pickett in March, but the latest report does not bode well for the signal caller.

Eagles News: Tanner McKee Is Getting Second Team Reps.

According to EJ Smith of the Philadelphia Inquirer, quarterback Tanner McKee was spotted getting second-team reps at Sunday’s practice.

This may have surprised some fans after the Eagles acquired Pickett in March. The Steelers acquired a 2024 third-round pick and two 2025 seventh-round picks in exchange for Pickett and a 2024 fourth-round pick.

McKee has outperformed Pickett over the first two weeks of training camp. He has some fans inside the building after getting picked in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Although he did not play last season, he has definitely learned the truth about the coaching staff.

Many people expected Pickett to be the No. 2 quarterback without much difficulty, but the Stanford product is proving otherwise.

Pickett completed 62% of his passes during two seasons, totaling 4,474 yards, 13 passing touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. These metrics aren’t pleasant to the eye, making the preseason even more important for Pickett.

Pickett’s first preseason battle is against the Baltimore Ravens on August 9, and he’ll need to play well to rise up the depth chart.
