Pigeon Forge, Tennessee — A man wanted in the Bahamas for sexual acts against minors and child stealing was apprehended in East Tennessee, according to the US Marshals Service.
According to USMS, ICE and INTERPOL Washington collaborated on July 5 to apprehend Angelo McQueen and rescue three children from a Pigeon Forge hotel.
McQueen, a native and citizen of the Bahamas, arrived in the United States on March 1, 2024, as a B2 non-immigrant visitor. INTERPOL Washington learned that he was accused of committing sexual offenses in his home country as well as abducting and bringing his biological daughter to the United States, according to USMS.
INTERPOL discovered McQueen was probably in Pigeon Forge. According to USMS, McQueen was detained at the motel where he was staying by the USMS Smoky Mountain Fugitive Task Force Eastern District of Tennessee, the USMS Missing Child Unit, and the ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations teams.
The three children, ages 4 to 14, were all from the Bahamas and are currently in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services, according to USMS.
According to USMS, officials were unaware that McQueen was accompanied by two other youngsters until they spotted him.
According to INTERPOL officers, McQueen worked at Dollywood at the time of his detention. Dollywood officials told WBIR that McQueen worked for APDC Cleansing Services, Inc., a third-party staffing business that searches and hires international labor.
“APDC was in charge of background identity verification and employment permission for its personnel allocated to Dollywood. He was assigned to a back-of-house position at Dollywood but was not working when he was arrested, according to officials.
Dollywood has terminated its commercial agreement with APDC and will disassociate from any further APDC contract workers assigned to the park beginning August 9.
McQueen is in ICE detention, according to USMS.
