During Monday night’s NBA Summer League game between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers in Las Vegas, NBC Sports Boston captured Brown and his girlfriend, WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick, having an apparent conversation about Bronny James. Both Brown and Gondrezick expressed doubts about James.
Brown appeared to reply, “I don’t think Bronny is a pro.” Gondrezick appeared to say, “I think he’s gonna be on the G-League team, for sure.” The video rapidly became viral:

Brown turned to social media on Tuesday to thank James after the video went viral.
Even if Brown questioned Bronny’s performance, the NBA Finals MVP is far from alone. Bronny has had a poor performance in the Summer League. He had only two points in the Lakers’ 88-74 loss on Monday night and is 0-for-15 from three-point range in four summer league games.
This week, Lakers head coach JJ Redick made a telling player comparison to James.
