Cam'ron, Mase and Lakers Bronny James amid NBA Summer League

Adjusting to the association’s play style is never easy. This is largely why rookies and contract aspirants typically participate in the NBA Summer League first, allowing their skills to be properly refined and tested. However, Los Angeles Lakers youngster Bronny James did not get to shine in their most recent game, which may have disappointed many of their fans. Rappers Cam’ron and Mase, on the other hand, remain optimistic about LeBron James’ son, who will have the opportunity to flourish under JJ Redick’s system.

Bronny James finished his NBA Summer League debut with four points. The Lakers managed to reach those figures while shooting 2-9 from the field, which disappointed many fans and provided ammunition to his detractors. While there will be more games for him to shine in, Cam’ron and Mase believe he should embrace the persona of a professional player more. They urged LeBron James’ son to make specific improvements through Come and Talk 2 Me.

“The first thing you do is change your number. Embrace it, wear #6. That is the first thing you do. Get #6, then change your hairstyle back to cornrows; you played better with cornrows. Cut all of stuff off and wear Kobes, namely lime green Kobes. When you look nice, you perform well, and you feel good. You’re out there acting as if you don’t care about anything, and you’ll need to change your persona because everyone else will be criticizing everything you do. I want to see you succeed, but I believe you need to embrace it, man,” Mase remarked.

Comfort is the first step in improving any element of life. If Bronny James follows Cam’ron and Mase’s advise, the Lakers rookie’s effect may only fluctuate little throughout the NBA Summer League. Problems on the court are rarely handled by changing appearances. The Lakers rookie had struggled with his shotmaking while he played at USC. He only made 26.7% of his outside shots and 36.6% from the field, totaling 4/8 points.

So, how did Cam’ron and Mase handle all of this? Well, they advised LeBron James’ son to take more shots.

“I don’t like your field goal %; I’d rather you had scored 25 points while missing 52 shots. It’s your team and it’s summer league. Now, don’t get me wrong: I understand that you have to play inside the system, but do you really have to? I don’t like smiling, I don’t like being passive, I don’t like all of that; you’re trying to blend in when you should be standing out,” Cam’ron remarked.

James has one more game in the California Classic before beginning his complete NBA Summer League adventure. Will he be able to showcase his complete skill set against the Miami Heat on June 10?
