Alabama QB Jalen Milroe Predicted to Have Big Slide in NFL Draft

Ahead of the 2025 NFL draft, Jalen Milroe, the quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide, has emerged as a divisive figure. There is some doubt regarding Milroe’s suitability at the next level, but he still has plenty of time to enhance his draft stock.

Three quarterbacks were chosen in the first round in Luke Easterling’s most recent mock draft, which was released on October 22 by Athlon Sports. According to the mock, Penn State quarterback Drew Allar, Colorado Buffaloes star Shedeur Sanders, and Miami Hurricanes playmaker Cam Ward all place in the top 10.

Milroe has completed 67.5% of his passes in the first eight games, throwing for 1,937 yards, 13 touchdowns, and six interceptions. With his legs contributing 380 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground, Milroe is still a formidable threat.

Milroe may choose to stay in Alabama for 2025 rather than declare for the NFL draft. Dane Brugler of The Athletic outlined why Milroe could be wise to take this course of action.

Would Milroe still be eligible for the first round if he declared for the 2025 draft? Naturally,” Brugler wrote on October 19. “His assessment has always focused on placing a long-term wager on uncommon physical characteristics and mental development.

Would returning to school help him? The Tennessee tape serves as a reminder that there is no question about it.
