New York Jets: Greg zuerlein is out & have wasted another game

Greg Zuerlein examines what went wrong after the Jets’ latest lackluster performance. Most fans will find kicker Greg Zuerlein’s performance to be a frustrating part of the New York Jets’ devastating loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday night. Aaron Rodgers and other Jets players talked about how the game ought to have gone, but without Zuerlein, things would have been quite different. One shouldn’t act as though Zuerlein was the only reason the club lost, even though the kicker would have missed two important field goals that would have put New York ahead of the AFC East divisional foe. After the game, the veteran does accept a lot of responsibility, claiming that he was to blame rather than the weather.

Zuerlein remarked, “I’m just not kicking the ball.” “I don’t think the [windy] weather had anything to do with it. I simply didn’t kick the ball correctly, and the results spoke for themselves. Not only this game, but also earlier Denver matchups. I am capable of doing better, and these people [my teammates] deserve better. I really must do it. He missed kicks from 32 and 43 yards out, both of which struck the goal posts, and Zuerlein’s performance was dismal. Sadly, it wasn’t the only one; he also might have cost the Jets the victory over the Denver Broncos by missing a 50-yard kick that would have put them ahead 10–9.
